Money Crimes: Identify the risks associated with crime
In the Criminal Money video game you get to learn about the ways organised criminal networks entice young people to get involved in criminal activities by promising easy money for small favours.
Criminals’ aim is to entice young people to get engaged in illegal activities and, when caught, to take the blame on behalf of the actual operators. This is a growing phenomenon where the youth’s inexperience and trust are ruthlessly exploited. Young people may find it difficult to understand the criminal liability and liability for damages that their actions lead to.
Before you start playing, take a moment to discuss what organised crime is. Are you familiar with the phenomenon? How does it manifest itself in Finland, what about in Sweden? And how does it harm society and individuals?
